Dear Humanity

Dear Humanity,

The times we are in now may seem tough,

And they are, wars rage across the globe,

Bombs, terrorists, change, fascism, communism,

Everything is going down the drain.

But we - Humanity, people, us - must work towards hope.

Change will come, for the better, for the worse,

But these conditions cannot, will not be stood under,

We will rise against the things that oppress us,

We will bring back peace, we will bring back hope.

When the last wars end, wars fought for any reason,

When peace reigns across the world,

When each person becomes who they will themselves to be,

That is when we may rest.

But until the good fight is fought, peace and prosperity,

Hope and love, kindness and empathy, charity,

Until all of these are every single human’s right and reward,

Until then we cannot rest.

Until the world becomes a better place,

We must fight for every person,

We must fight as a unified Humanity,

We must grasp the reins of Fate,

And carve out our own course through time.

I will not bow, I will not rest,

Until every person of the world has amnesty,

Hope, and the tools they need to do what they want.

I will not stop until I die,

Because I know it will take longer than my lifetime,

Because I am willing to invest my life,

In the future of my species,

In my brothers and sisters of the world,

Each and every single person.

I am determined to change the world,

Even if it’s just a tiny bit.

I will change the world for the better,

And hereby dedicate myself to this task,

To seize the power from the few,

From tyranny,

And give it to Humanity as a whole.

Humanity is what it is.

We are sick, depraved, disgusting.

We are beautiful, unparalleled, vain.

But most of all, Humanity…

Humanity is ambition.

Humanity is change, conquering the unknown,

Exploring the vast unreached spaces,

It is change, it is imperfection, it is who we are.

And who we are?

I could never ask to change that.

Because of our flaws, because of our Humanity,

Every person is perfect, because no one is.

We can do this,
