Dear Jackson

Dear Jackson,

You are scared of what they will think.

You are afraid of being alone.

You think my feelings will shrink,

but I feel them down to my bone.

She may be the safe choice,

but don’t settle for less.

Every night when you listen to my voice

can’t you see, we aren’t something you can oppress.

Yes, I will be an hour away next year,

but I promise my love can stretch.

Our future may be unclear,

But is the thought of us that far fetched?

I wish you could understand

that you aren’t the only one with fears.

Because everytime you take her hand

it leaves me in tears.

What does she have that I lack?

Stay with me and don’t run.

I'm the one bending over breaking my back.

When it comes to you, I won’t ever be done.

I can’t tell you I love you enough.

I will forever be here for you,

through thick and thin and when times are tough.

No matter what happens we can make it threw.

We are a forever thing

and I’m ready for forever to start.

We both know this isn’t just a fling.

Especially when you have my heart.

I picked you, so pick me.

Don’t be afraid of what will happen anymore.

It's time to set her free.

They say all is fair in love and war.

When I’m with you, everything else fades away

It's like we are the only two in the universe

For our future every night I pray

I swear you are my blessing and my curse.

Take a second to remember how happy

we are when we are together.

I know this all sounds really sappy

but, I swear I love you no matter the weather.

Jackson, I want to be with you.

You know that I would give you anything,

if it meant my wish would come true.

Love, Mason
