Dear John
This poem is about a time when I was in Berkeley. Using couchsurfing.com, I found a place to stay for free-- with an older man named John. He didn't have a house or a nice apartment; we slept on his sailboat. Although we didn't talk much, as I shook his hand to leave I think we both truly saw each other. This is me questioning his wisdom.
