Dear John, Letter 63

The pain of seeing you disordered and somber,

because of the difficult decision made by me,

makes me wonder,

Are we even meant to be?

All you have ever wanted and asked for,

was to have Us together for a while,

but I can’t do this anymore,

with a distance of 250 miles.

So as I step,

away from the picture-perfect memories,

please don’t cry that I lept,

into the ocean to swim among my opportunities.

You have made me the person I am today,

you taught me how to love,

but college is leading me away,

and this… I never dreamed of.

So goodbye John, I hope to see you again.
Love Yours Truly, Lauren.
