Dear Kendle

Dear Kendle,

Yeah I’m talking to you, your thirty-two years old now and you have really outdone yourself.  You achieved more than you could ever image and you’ve accomplished what others said couldn't be done.  I know you never thought you would make it through high school with all of decisions and anxieties about life lying ahead and not being sure of what direction to go in.  But I see that you have had no problems at all.  It was a little rough at first being away from home on a college campus establishing your indepence not depending on family.  ANd oh when you got sworn into the service it was the happiest (and saddest day) of your life.  Let me tell you American is not the same it was 15 years ago the country is more calmer, more in sync, more relaxed.

You no longer have to worry about being a black male who could potentially get killed by the police or harassed for not being the right skin color.  Laws have been put in place to protect us all and it has been life so much easier.  The world is a better place since 2018 we’re more focused on technology and healthy living.  Good thing you choose a lucrative profession in computer science.  One thing's for sure save your money as soon as you get your first job and INVEST.  The stock market has soared like never before.  Oh and don't forget that everyday that dreams matter, but the destiny is most important.

As long as you know where you're going you’ll never forget why you started and why you need to get there.  Last to mention, thank the Lord everyday that you have family that loves you and friends that support you.  Even though your not married yet, the woman who has your heart is to die for.  She is a godly woman with goals and ambitions and comes from a good family.  She loves the Lord, goes to church and pretty soon you we will make things official.  Last but not least stay focused!  It’s tough out there, nothing will be handed to you.  You will lose some and win some, you will experience uncertainty, doubt, fears and confusion.  You will also have some haters along the way.  So stay focused and never, never, give up.
