Dear Kyle

That night, at your house, you took my life away

Exiled from my friends, you sent my path astray

While I slept, so you thought, down came your assault

You took my innocence, filling my head with fault

My friends took your side, you paid nothing for crime

Ostracized from my clique, I was biding time

You took my life, friends, and happiness too

Forced to reinvent myself, somewhere anew

You took my safety, comfort, all that I had

My being is gone, but for that I am glad

The closest “friends” I had do not care at all

With them aside, I am now free to stand tall

The push that you gave me, began my new flight

To feel every feeling, to see every sight

I am no longer scared, to show my true face

To show my true feelings, to find my true place

If it happens to you, you have my sympathies

I wish on none the things you have done to me

I hope by the time our lives are almost done

You’ll think of me plenty, I’ll think of you none
