Dear Life:
Dear Life,
You’ve battered me around like a hurricane.
I thought previously that I couldn’t stand the pain.
I’ve been bullied, cheated, lied to, and drained.
But I’ve always had hope that I’d once again reign.
Every day I must fight to let positive win.
I suppose, with that thought, I can put on a grin.
I forbid what they say to get under my skin.
Let the feelings of happiness truly begin.
No time like the present to let go of distress.
Yes, sometimes it is hard, but that’s how we progress.
Though the world is dark, to the light we’ll say yes.
To the light from within that all people possess.
Oh, my dear Mr. Life, I don’t want you to end.
‘Cause I love you so much and you are a great friend.
