Dear Life

Dear life

It’s me again

Coming to you with the chains that you have shackled so tight on my wrists

I just wish

Wish that you would break me from this bounded prison

Where my cell mates “hardship” and “hopelessness” try to tear me down into pieces

It never ceases, the screams from “turmoil” and “strife”

I try to drown them out with my bitter cries

I look out the window to see “joy” and “happiness”

And I long to join them

To break free of this imprisonment

I’m not meant....... to be this unhappy

They say to every cloud there is a silver lining

Well tell me where is mine

Show me that the sun is going to shine one of these days

And that I can get out of this maze that is filled with nothing but obstacles

Make me see that it does get better

And that I just have to withstand the weather and the storms

Let me be unrestrained Unchained UNBOUND

so that you don’t have to hear the sound of me saying....

Dear life

It’s me again
