Dear Life,
Dear Life, Well we got all these twists and turns,
All the pains, all the bruises, all the scrapes and burns,
But we still got heart, yeah we still got fun,
And we still got the spirit left to love everyone,
How can it be that when we hurt so bad,
We can still feel good, we can still feel rad?
Guess it's cause we got blessings from the Holy One,
He ain't gonna leave us hurting long and under a ton,
He comes walking up to us with a helping hand,
Gives a blessing, lifts the weight, hey it don't feel so bad,
Despite all the storms and stuff that the good Lord allows,
We still got babies, school, and even new wedding vows,
So yeah, even though we got pain and sorrows here,
He gives us lots of aid, comes to wipe a tear,
Think I've answered my own question in my letter to you,
But Life, you'll prove me wrong or right, gimme a clue,
We'll test out my thinking just by waiting it out,
Though I think I'm thinking right, so I won't wait around a pout,
See ya 'round life, let's go live out our years,
Sincerely, Me P.S. Thank you, my God who's here!
