Dear Life

Dear Life,

It is said that you can be great,

You've given me significant moments,

You've filled me with regret and hate,

Then showered me with love and amusement.

Dear Life,

You've thrown knives my way,

You expected me to stand still

But I buried you like Pompeii

And turned my eruption into a skill.

Dear Life!

I am not afraid to stand tall!

You cannot bring me down anymore,

You will not bring me to a fall,

Thus this Life was never a bore.

Oh Life,

I'm glad this fight has come to an end

We will not continue to argue

We've finally become good friends

And dear friend, I never want to lose you.

Dear Life, or should I say friend?

This new friend has kept me happy

You've kept me safe,

But now, old friend I believe it's time,

Time to say Good-
