Dear Life

Dear Life,

As I wake, the sun is shining through my window.

The contrast between my warm blankets and the cold floor is drastic. My

Vision impaired due to drowsiness, and my mind still up in the clouds.

I am alive. And that is something I don’t analyze very often. Everyday I

Wake up and you just take your course, having zero control over any events

That may unfold.

Have there been days when you’ve knocked me down and left me breathless?

Countless.

Have there been nights spent staring at the glassy ceiling through melancholic eyes?

Infinite…

If you’ve made me struggle, give me my reward. Oh please, life, show me

Mercy. Show me Love.

Oh but don’t fret. Don’t let the guilt burden you. I am still standing.

Through light and darkness I have fought. And even though life's full of irony

and  unexpected turns, I live today for today. Tomorrow, can be new.

Life, I have you to thank.

Sincerely, another someone
