Dear Love

Daybreak reminded me of the glow I see when you smile

I genuinely miss your laughter and your peace of mind

Looking at you I see no wrong, ‘cause you’re just right

All I see is a shining light from a heart that only wants to love

And I want to love it back, with every scar and bruise it has

because I see a beauty that will never be old to me

Change is constant but my heart remains faithful to you

And even though you hurt, you are strong and resilient

There’s no true emptiness inside because there is still a sweet spirit

Love, you took that fall and now you learn to fly

Even if you've just one wing, I've got a spare for you

Though you feel lost, you'll always be found

because someone's heart is searching for your type of special and rare

In time you will find what's true, and find that what's in you never left

and if you need love to carry on, my love is your own

For as long as I am here you can count on me

A willing friend I'll be and more, whatever you need

I’ll always fight to keep your precious smile shining in this world

♥
