Dear Love of My Life

Dear Love of My Life.

You have my heart

yet not my name

You have my love

but not yet gained

Do I pass you in the halls,

or have I met you at all?

Life is full of questions

and our meeting is but

One.

Your eyes, Your hair,

Your rich emotions.

All I need is

Your devotion.

You share my struggles,

but are they the same?

Oh how much I wish I knew

your name.

Is there a long future,

or a fleeting

moment?

Do we end still allies,

or part as

opponents?

I ask these questions deep within,

and seek answers

but know not

when.

Your hands, Your voice,

Your everlasting smile.

I will walk to you

down the aisle.
