Dear Madison and Makenzie
Dear Madison and Makenzie,
I was meant to be the leader.
I was supposed to show you the way
And to make sure you did not make the same mistakes I did.
I was supposed to teach you.
I was a role model in how you were meant to act
And how to face challenges you might face in the future.
I was not needed for these roles.
You two could take of yourselves
And had each other to rely on in times of need.
I instead learned from you.
You taught me so many more things
Than I ever could have in a school textbook.
I love you so much.
I always joke about having been an only child
But the truth is you were truly the best gift I ever received.
I will miss you so much.
With college coming up I wish I could just take you with me
But I know that I have to move on with my life.
Your loving sister,
Mikayla
