DEAR MAMA
(poems go here) I can say I've moved on from the thought of you being here with me
But how can i move on thinking about the changes you could have made to get me
I know you wanted to have me in your arms again
I know you wanted to be in your right mind so you can love me
Love your child with all the love a mother could give
I seen you on your way towards a new life
You was fighting to come home to your family again
You never told me how you was as a child
I only heard stories from grandma and Michael
"You look just like her" they'll say.
They say i resemble you in all of my ways
I love that i favor you
I just hope i don't take on the life you lived
I know you wanted more for me
But i never heard you say it
The questions that run through my head everyday and every night makes me mad
I can't ask you mama because of the fact that your dead
I hate living with these questions they irritate me to death
My body fill's with anger and my mind blow's in terrible vision
My vision is sick and some times just sometimes i think i might do it
Then i think back on' I'm my mothers child'
I want to make new music with your old
I want a brighter future for me and you
I want to live and tell my kids a story
But i want to live to be free
Free of pain i want to live large
I want to see my name in bold letters on a magazine
My heart is now yours and my soul is ours
You will now live through me
- I love you mama r.i.p
