dear mama

She’s the best that any son

Could ask for

She makes sacrifices for us when

She may go without something for a while

Giving birth to two beautiful children

The man standing near when both were on their way

Growing up born of Philly

Toughness was always apart of her life

Being confident came and joined her along her

Lifetime of smiling followed wherever she journed

Supportive and selfless

She always put her kids needs

Before her own, Oh how she cares

So much for them

The way her presents wakes up any room

She walks into, the love for her from others is incomparable

Her calmness and composure

Make her a great thinker in difficult situations

Oh, the joy she brings to anyone she encounters

While the man stays in the background to comfort her

She steps out bold and brave to make a statement
