Dear Me In 2023

Dear Me in 2023,

Did you reach goals?
However, far-reaching they were to your soul

You never knew you’d be in this position,
And even yet with your drive and ambition,
Your path is straight, but your mind keeps switching,
Driven by your plans and intuition

What is your plight tomorrow, tonight, today?
Is it finishing the race no matter what others say?
You’ve always won despite others dismay

Can you separate yourself and be more elite than you ever thought?
Or is your course limited by what you have been taught,
Of mice and men, was it all for naught?

Finish, you better, for your goal,
Is nothing without your soul.
