Dear Me

Dear Me,

I feel as tough we are drifting apart.

I once knew you, I understood you.

No longer.

Now I see your face, hear your voice,

Nothing registers.

Where did we go so wrong?

I want to help you.

I want to be there for you.

If only I could recognize you.

But alas, maybe it is better if we go our own ways.

-Regretfully, Me
