Dear Me
Dear Me,
I have heard you are tired and weak,
I fear that all you think of,
Is the dim and the bleak.
I have written to beg of your bliss,
To allow you to see,
What it is you may have missed.
The petals of the tulips are sprouting with color,
A baby laughs at the top of the hour.
A little boy cracks a joke,
And a little girl cracks open a coke.
I have written to beg of your bliss,
To let you know what it is that they miss.
Your parents,
They miss your face, full of cheer and color.
Your friends,
They miss your laugh and favor.
Your brother,
The silly and bizarre jokes.
Your sister,
Talking and sharing a coke.
I have written to beg of your bliss.
I know how you feel, yet I fear what you miss.
Life is a fight,
Yet, you must regain the light.
I have written to beg of your bliss.
I hope all is well and you find what you have missed.
