Dear Me

Dear Me,

You were taught to overlook your talents,

To hide your capabilities,

To withhold your potential,

While still hoping for a brighter future.

You were taught to be thankful

For your skinniness and prettiness.

And during such moments,

You resorted to reclusion.

Obliterate the past,

And keep standing strong

Because those days are over!

You have learned that you are important.

You are not a pretty girl; you are smart.

You are a diligent worker.

You are not selfish.

You have been reborn into someone who,

Not only cares about herself but others as well.

You are thankful for everyone

Who has aided you throughout this journey.

Now, stay composed...

Because you are not afraid

To highlight your goofy-self.

You have gained the necessary confidence

To overcome any obstacle.

You have gained the capacity

To believe in your full potential,

And you have revitalized your true-self.

Continue to climb towards your dreams.
