Dear Memory

The throbbing stops,

And the feelings goes numb

Everything becomes nothing.

Left with puffy eyes,

And plain disappointment.

Everything is already said and done.

Memories that once were so dear,

Now thrown aside.

A million thoughts rise,

But none are told.

Who is there left to tell?

The kind smile curls before me,

Following with the sweet words

Catching  their contagious warmth

While I was holding on

The heart began to beat slower

The tears stop slipping.
