Dear Michael,

I can still hear your infectious laughter, as it constantly rings through the hallways.

It haunts me like your goofy smile, that could always brighten up my days.

Since you've been gone, it's become harder to cherish the things you use to say.

Harder to focus on the plans we made.

Harder to imagine someone else winning first place.

Harder to figure out how to explain to your rivals why they no longer can be graced by your dopey face.

Why didn't you just live out your life?

Is it selfish of me that I just wanted you to fight?

Or that I wish that we could just reunite?

But we can't and it's because I failed you that night.

I went to bed thinking you'd be alright.

How wrong I was... I just want you to know I love you, Mike, with all my might.

                                                                                                   Sincerely,

                                                                                                        Kamia
