Dear Middle School Me

Dear Middle School Me,

Reach back and rip off that sign that reads "Kick Me,"

Ignore the jokes and the lies,

You are stonger than they will ever be.

Compose yoursef young one, don't let them see you cry,

I know it hurts, I know it feels so dark,

But don't run, don't hide,

Don't show them that they left a mark.

I've seen how hard you've tried.

I know you feel alone,

I know its like no one understands,

I know you feel like you must lie the second you get home.

No one thinks you will rise up and stand as tall as you can,

But you will show them young one,

Just how brave you are,

You get through this, you have already won,

You become proud of each and every scar.

Because you survived, you endured,

I am so proud of you young one,

The Present Me
