Dear Mister

Dear Mister, I can hear the screams from 50 years ago, of the powerless people you scared, with your promises of painful death and the embarrassment they shared. When you publicly mocked them and refused to share your water, they answered to and worked hard for those who never ceased to slaughter. And the weak-minded broke the hearts of those who were gentle and strong, when in reality you were the ones who were broken all along. I speak on behalf of the people who were whipped, burned, and shot, because despite your malicious ways we’re all in a melting pot. Inferior is a word you label those you fear when hate consumes your heart, and although my color is that of evil these are things I will not impart. Emotions grab hold of me when I think of the pain they felt, because they had no control over the hand that they were delt. To be stomped by the feet of such men would embarrass those of absolute simplicity, and revolt the vilest of creatures to drown in such toxicity. And even though you carved a permanent scar, they now are intertwined, their beautiful legacy will silence the wicked and then will cure the blind. A legacy to their children and to the misunderstanding White Men, so they no longer have to walk with hate only to release it again. Now is the time to thank them and to help pick up the pieces, the winds of change are whistling with the insanity that ceases. I assure you they will forgive you for the way you were before, and the wickedness inside of you won’t be living anymore. Be free from the bonds of the devil and flourish with your brothers, I pray that mercy falls on you and forever kindness smothers. Learn to love and be loved as you build a legacy of your own, and remember, when we die, we all answer to God, high up on his throne.
