Dear Mom
You and I aren't as close as we seem to be
We share love, but not beliefs
You would put god first if it were my life in line
You are blinded by the fake light that those men shine
You're a fly attracted by a fly trap, and I'm the sun,
getting blocked out by their darkness
I love you, mom, but you scare me
I'm scared to tell you I don't love god
I'm scared you'll find out I like woman too
I'm scared you'll kick me out as soon as you do
Mom, I love you
You're my first and only mom
But I'm scared of you, giving me up for something those men tell you what's wrong
I hope you leave that place, as soon as I do,
Something wrong with this poem?
