Dear Mom

You make me want to pull my hair out,

Or maybe even cry,

You make me want to laugh so hard that I feel the need to die

You make me feel so scattered,

Like I do nothing right,

You make me feel like I’m not me when we start to fight

I feel as if I’m crazy,

When you don’t make a sound,

I feel as if I’m lucid dreaming while you’re sleeping on a cloud

Do you even notice your daughter nowadays?

Do you even care about her and her own ways?

I’m scared one day you’ll look back,

And notice how much I’ve changed,

But then you’ll finally realize,

Only when it’s too late

Your daughter has been drifting,

With no direction given,

Her views they have been shifting,

Without anyone’s permission

I feel like you don’t see me,

Even though I’m just right here,

I feel like you don’t notice,

These silent, falling tears
