Dear Mom
You said you'd always be there
but youre no where to be found
I cant believe you left my lying here
I'm scared and youre not around
how does that heroin feel racing in your veins
as your daughter waits in pain.
She holds her little sister and feels her bones
as mommy hasnt fed her when she cries and moans
shes hungry, i can hear, so am i, sorry dear
theres nothing more to say as i lay her down
on the cool soft ground
as she takes her last breath i say fast
"I'll miss you love, better years will come"
but for the lonely nights I've cried
the years I've aged in pain
you will never know that feeling
of losing the person you need
to laugh and cry and love you most
many years roll on now that mom is also gone
drugs ate her alive
but truly I'm not sad she died
I couldnt never forgive you
even if i tried
you can never make up
for those lonely nights i cried
