Dear Mom,
Dear Mom,
When the six hour emergency surgery happened,
you still were my mom.
When the chemo hit,
you still supported me.
When the the cancer was strong,
you still told me you loved me unconditionally.
When the days were tough,
you still treated my like a typical kid.
When your vision grew weak,
you still told me I was beautiful.
When you were tired and groggy,
you still refused my help.
When things did not look for the best,
you still told me I needed to be at every practice.
When strangers stared at you,
you still told myself worth is up to me.
When people pitied you,
you still told me to work for the life I want.
When I cried,
you still comforted me.
When you cried,
I still comforted you.
When the days got better,
you still cooked me meals.
When things looked up,
you still attended all my games.
When your medicine prescription decreased,
you still made me work for my grades.
When your spirits lifted,
you still gave me friendship advice.
When the days did not matter if you were sick or not,
you still were my mom.
You always treated me the same way, and I will love you forever.
Forever and Always,
Your Daughter.
