Dear Mom

A letter to my mother on the days I am failing at being yours:

Mom, I'm sorry.

I truly am.

If I could live my own life while still holding up yours then

I would always choose that.

I want to ease your stress

Sometimes, I push away.

And it hurts us both in the process

I wanna get out there,

but when I do that,

I'm afraid I'm failing at being yours -

Your daughter

Your balance

Your friend

And I hate that

It makes me hate me.

With my whole being

So I'm so sorry mom.

And I promise you that I will keep on trying

I'm tired of failing you, Mom.

I'll find a balance for you, Mom

Mom, you really do mean the world to me

I couldn't live life without you

So please don't make me

And please forgive me
