Dear Mom

Dear Mom,

A wife, a mother, and a principal too

I’m glad that I found my best friend in you

Your smile could move a mountain

You grant wishes like a coin dropped into a fountain

A supporter, tear-wiper, and caregiver too

I’m glad that God blessed me with a Mother like you

Soon I will be eighteen

And college will be awaiting

I can’t even imagine the day

When I must move away

But I know that my home is not the place

But rather in my mother’s face

You’re a childhood dream

The type of mother everyone hopes to be

I love you to the moon and back

And back and back and back again

Because my love for you will never end

Thanks for taking my pain away

Even when you had a really bad day

A critic, hugger, and peacemaker too

The High School is blessed to have a principal like you

You work harder than anyone I know

The blood in your veins is what makes this school go

Thank you for all that you have done

With you as my mom, I can’t remember when I haven’t won

A toast to your great life, and I love you dearly

I can see all that you’ve done so clearly

Superstar wife, mother, and principal too

I’m glad that I found my best friend in you
