Dear Mom

Dear Mom,

There is a lot of things you've told me,

To hold my own and stand up for what I believe.

You've stated all the things I can be,

Held me tight and told me you would never leave.

Since I was young you were always there for me

With all my problems you have solutions

So I know that with you I never have to worry.

I just hope to your life I have also made contributions

To share the joy and laughter you have given,

All my life along with your sacrifice.

No matter what I've done you have always forgiven

And been by my side to offer advice.

I've learned the best thing you get in the world is a mother.

It is for all the things like these

That I would never trade you for any other.

Your daughter, Delaney Calabrese
