Dear Mom

Dear Mother, Thank you for making me the girl I am today. If it wasn't for you, I think I'd go insane. Thank you mom, for having a routine that never changed. Because I knew I could find you all drugged up every single day. Thank you mom, for showing me variety. From Herione, to Meth, and weed to cocaine, There were so many drugs that were shown to me. Thank you mom for showing me how to survive. Because there were so many times that all your kids ate garbage to stay alive. Thank you mom for teaching never to judge Because how can I when you were the reason I was? Thank you mom for showing me how to be polite. I learned to look at the social workers and didn't cry. But most importantly, thank you mom for being so drugged up that your kids could escape. Three years ago we were put into better places and able to get an education. And in four months, I will be graduating, and I will know how to survive and how to treat my family. So thank you mom, for showing me what not to do when it comes to my future. Love, Your daughter.
