Dear Mom and Dad

Dear Mom and Dad,

Dear Mom your had it all

yet you had to pave a path setup for fault

Dear Dad you felt alone

felt like our abode wasn't a home

Dear Mom you always yelled

and time and time your voice had to swell

Dear Dad you didn't know what to do

you were helpless, you had no clue.

Oh Mother you broke us apart

you said it didn't feel right in your heart

Oh Father you wept and wept

you'd fallen from grace to darkness yet

Dear Mom you were blinded by sin's transfixed art

and gave in with your ravaged heart

Dear Father you hit the ground

and up from it you sprung unbound

Dear Mother you said you'd be free

so why is it your still as miserable as can be?

Dear Dad you've found yourself alive

and now you thrive

Dear Mother your dead inside

let someone in to revive your light

Dear Father you'd opened your eyes

opened your eyes to a unpleasant surprise

Dear Mom you yearned for love

but you were so cold

how'd you expect someone to love a stone?

Dear Dad you didn't love

you refused to turn and try to like

why did realization come at twilights last light?

Dear Sister it'll be alright

keep your eyes on the soft white light of life.

Dear brother enough with your tantrums

don't you know these fits are weakness?

Dear Mom and Dad do you see what

you've done? Do you bear the fruit of rotten souls?

Filled with hatred, pride, and grudges of old?

Have you not lost everything you thought you knew?
