Dear Moon

Dear moon,

You are gentle and so quiet

Yet so powerful and overwhelming

The waves bow down to you

Young girls dance in your light

Lovesick men sing songs of you

You sometimes hide yourself to let the stars shine

Or sometimes you steal the whole night by blushing shades of red and blue

You’re like a mother watching over her children as they sleep

You watch over the world as I sleep

And when I die

I hope to be a star so that I can be seen with you

Sincerely,

Giselle
