Dear Mr Mungoshi!

For how long shall we wait for the rain?

More than decades now,

Sunshine is delicious,

Rain is refreshing,

Wind braces us up,

Breeze is exhilarating;

Confronted by good-bad weather.

Eager to be kissed by the rain,

Eager for the rain to beat upon our heads,

With silver liquid drops.

Nothing materialize

Only dream of the rain singing us a lullaby

As dreams remained dreams

Farmer  glue skywards,

With chins resting on palms

Hoping for the torrential rain to rains.

As evil spell hope against every possible hope

As they down their tools,

Nursing new avenues.

Cumulonimbus so barren,

Potting gulling dust and whirlwinds,

Milking the parental rock,

From hand to mouth

Only here to existence than live

Oh! My God have mercy on us

Hear oh Lord,

When (us)-your caring  people cry for you,

We bag than kidnap your forgiveness?

For how long shall we wait for the rain?
