Dear Mr Pain

Dear Mr. Pain,

You hit me like a freight train

Most of October

I was not sober

First you ripped him away,

and then put my heart on full display

After a cold rainy week I thought we were through

Hoping you would find someone new

You gave me quite a scare

So much so I could not bare

You twisted that knife in my heart

Until it all fell apart

Spent my nights crying into a pillow

Wailing like a weeping willow

Wanting to give up

I raised up my cup

And gave a long toast to you

Hoping we were finally through,

But I know now

You'll always be with me somehow

Now I'm forced to put up my shield

So I'll be protected like a force field

Becuase dear Mr. Pain

You hit me like a frieght train
