Dear Mr. T

Why did you do that

Why did you say that

Why must belittling others

Be your brand of heroine

Why do you get high

Off of other people’s sorrows

Why can’t you see past

Your thin sheet of glass

If no one respects you

As you conquer new land

You will have no one

To share in your riches

Can’t you see all

The things you have broken

I guess you can’t see

The wake of your destruction

You are destroying lives

And you don’t even care

And you’re leader of the free world

And everyone’s scared

But maybe this was

Our needed alarm sound

If a man like you

Is who represents us all

Maybe we won’t make

These same mistakes again

But that will never fix

What’s already been done

We are forever scarred

By your heinous behavior

You didn’t make America great

You reared its ugly head

I’m still mourning the loss

I’m still grieving my pain

But maybe one day

I’ll have hope again
