Dear Ms. Yolanda, Wake Up!

Dear Ms. Yolanda,

You know I care about you right?

Well, I do. You are my family and I will always love you.

But we need to talk. I wish you would start living already.

I know you are probably tired of hearing this, but people are tired of saying it.

You could have ambitions, goals, and drive, but you do not have any of that.

Are you scared?

Are you scared of growing up and having to be an adult?

Have you gotten too comfortable with where you are in life now?

I wish I knew why, but I guess I will never know why. You would never tell me.

I have a confession to make, I told myself that I would never want to end up like you.

Your lifestyle might work for you, but it doesn’t work for me.

I feel like I will regret the life I chose to live when I’m older if I choose to live like you.

I have always wanted to talk to you about this but when I try, you get defensive.

Ultimately it’s your life and I cannot tell you what to do with it.

I just want you to know that nothing lasts forever.

The ones who have taken care of you your whole life will not be able to take care of you for the rest of your life.

If you don’t wake up now, the effect will be much heavier later on.

So I suggest you wake up before you get hurt.

Sincerely, someone who loves you

P.S. I hope you find something that makes you happy.
