Dear Mua

Decades of time spent crafting this mold

Careful not to twist the skin too hard

For the damage must heal

And my bodies washed out

Patched over with scars

That ridge over my skin

Etched over like stars

With a shining gold main

Stretching down to my shoulders

A tangled tumbleweed of ripe curls and red color

Bounces and blows in the winds cruel nature

Battling oceans and heatwaves

It’s been here my whole life

Sitting on top of my head

Shimmers in deep fluorescent lights

I may not be the kindest

Or spit endeavoring inspiration

We battle like couples

On the verge of extinction

For i’ve beaten you down

Sprouting purples and greens

All over your skin

Playing too rough and too mean

What I miss most of all

Was careful consideration

I rained down with love

Care and affection

Patching holes and deep cuts

With a stick and a rip

Drying tears and misfortune

With pure joy and appreciation

I can’t say that I love you

Or that I ever will

But as of now I can live

With you sticking around
