Dear Music

I remeber it all started in Grandma's den

we've been writing love letters since then

In third grade i wrote my very first rhyme

back then i was learning how to carry dimes

you're the girl i always try to impress

even though you were gangsta rap, i still picture you in a dress

i was so innocent and you were so mature

if there were a message in th words i wasn't sure

all i cared about is the beat and the melody

the only thing you brought were sweet memories

you were the gift that kep on giving, as long as i kept on living

in high school, you helped me when i was depress

when my auntie died, you were theonly one to put me to rest

one day i let it all out because you took me there

you brought out emotions that i normally wouldn't share
