Dear Music
Dear voice of love and hate
How intricate is the fate
You can place on one
Who sees none
But him the same.
Secrets of the heart
Make you a part
Of this magical world
We hold so strongly.
Words can’t express
What you have in mind;
You seduce me in such a bind.
Yet, in the same, your voice
Is clear-giving me no choice
But to listen to your sweet whisper
Of a song.
You call my name
And my soul responds;
We have a bond
You and I,
And none to blame.
Blue birds converse beyond with you
And the leaves of the forest tap a “do”
As the wind voices the sounds afar
You’re echoed abroad deep in par.
A stick on a drum
Or a tap of a string
Not noise, but some
May say you are carrying
The heart and soul of talents past
A universal language
That all can decipher;
No secret is kept
At your disposal.
The heart of man is engraved inside
That note of grace.
You keep a pace-
No need to race.
Your feelings have reached
The heart of many.
Your name is music.
You may be simplistic,
But complexity is definitely your strong suit.
