Dear My Home Town

Dear my home town,

Where the rolling hills and deep valleys

Are the palpitations of the earth’s heart

Where greenery envelopes the land as a soft blanket

And where birds chirping, wind whispering, and hooves clopping

Are the bundle of sounds which infiltrates the human ear

Where sunsets are an ocean of fiery red, burnt orange, and a wispy pink

Where days are filled with the grazing of cows

And silos stand erect amidst the undeveloped land

 You have been my home

My secluded arena

Thank for providing what no human could

Love,

Your thankful inhabitant and lifelong friend
