Dear No One

Dear No One,

Waiting on the one who makes me whole

Waiting on the one who calls me beautiful

Oh, how much I desire that feeling.

The feeling of love and passion

Of freedom and acceptance

What I thought I had I no longer see

What I thought I felt I longer want

 Left with words unsaid

Left with feelings raw and open

Yet you stayed

Leaves me in awe and out of step

It leaves me unsure and insecure

Waiting on the one who pursues and desires me

Waiting on the one who cares without fear

Oh, how my soul longs to be wanted

Oh, how my heart yearns for that emotion

Patiently waiting on the unknown

Hopelessly hoping for best and that that is to come

Yet the entire time I had it all

My eyes did not see what my heart had already known

My mind did not comprehend that which was so simple

The love in which I desired

The embrace of another was already given

By His stripes, I am healed

By His wounds, I was pursued

By His blood, I was made whole and by His love I am called beautiful

I love and I want you

I see you and desire you

But why aren’t I enough

Enough to fill the void in your heart

Enough to captivate your breath

Every step you take

Every moment of everyday I am with you

Always…

Take this broken heart

Take my mess and my pain

You see the pieces and the stains

You see the past and my present

You see who I was and what I am

And yet you stay

So, when my heart grows weary

By waiting on the one in which I desire

By waiting on the one who values me and wants me

I can say to my heart be still and know that He is God

Sincerely, Me
