Dear Old Me

Dear old me,

You played me like a puppet

Rugged and brokenhearted

I saw through your lies

Who can deny

I remember

All those tears

Flooded in my eyes

Pain down

Deep inside

Too afraid to testify

There’s something you don’t know

I now take control

I now have the remote

To make all things come afloat

Little did you know

I was thunder

Who is now much stronger

Sincerely,

The new me
