Dear Old, Now, and Future
Dear the Old,
Ignorance is bliss.
Oh, how much I miss you.
Too young to worry.
For some reason you're so blurry.
Where have you gone?
Why'd you have to grow Old on my memory?
Are you really Old?
Or could it be, me who grew old?
Dear the Now,
Not lost, just missing.
What happened to thinking?
No thought, just acting.
Controlled by impulse decisions.
No consequences.
Trying to learn lessons.
What have you learned?
Can you teach, when it's your turn?
Dear the Future,
In hopes you are bright.
Full of life, and light.
Living life right.
My family is healthy right?
With married parents right?
We’re happy right?
Are my babies Old?
Will my babies ever be Now?
