Dear the One Who Matters Most

I wish to tell you not to worry.

As long as I smile,

I must be okay.

I wish to beg for your forgiveness.

I can’t always do what you want

or what’s right,

but I’m still trying. (I’m always trying.)

I wish to see the gaze in your eyes

as I tell you these things,

but I know if I stay, I’ll never leave

and we both know it’s better

I leave sooner rather than later.

Love just doesn’t always conquer all

and I know it can’t conquer this.

I’m doing my best, love.

I’m doing my best.

I’ll miss you,

forever and always,

I’ll always miss you.
