Dear Opposing Side

Do not mistake me for your enemy. I am aware that this dark coated skin has you on edge, but I promise I am a friend. You see not all of us are dangerous. Not all of us want to cause pain. Some of us are still good, we are just hurting. I do not blame you for your ancestors doing. Who am I to ban you to hatred? How can I compare your face to those who have been long gone. Yes I still hurt. Yes I still fear. But I still have hope. We are not colors. We are human. Too many forget that too. Lets not run away from each other. Lets hold hands and dance beneath the stars. Lets not curse defiantly, lets love until our hearts stop. Let there be no more black and white, but instead let there be brother and sister.
