Dear "Other",

You are not like me and those that I know well. You are different, whether in the way that you speak or the way that you look. Your "different-ness" makes many people feel uncomfortable or scared. People do not like to feel uncomfortable or scared. They like the familiar. They like what they know and what they have always known. Anything too far from what they have always known and they then feel as if they know nothing. And that would make them feel inferior. And when one feels inferior they feel angry. And when they are angry, the angry get rash. They put down the "Other" and call them names. But "Other," I am here to tell you that it is they who are wrong. You are not alone just because because you stand out from the crowd. Just because you speak differently or look differently does not mean you are less then. It does not mean that you are the "Other." You simply are "Another." Another individual who shares this planet. Another human being trying your best to find meaning and purpose. Another friend. Another smile. Another great addition to our world.
