Dear Past, Present, and Future
Dear past,
One day you will fly.
You will spread your wings and will fly.
You'll leave my side and fly into the wind.
You'll soar all over the world until you forget how my shoulder felt like home.
You'll stop in places and won't come by anymore.
I can't help but not be sad when you finally leave me.
I won't feel lonely like you keep telling me I will.
Or be angry that you have left.
In fact I'll feel peace that you have finally left home.
Love, me
Dear present,
You are beautiful in the sense of surprises.
You greet me each morning with either rain or sun
You send me to bed each night with either stars or dark clouds.
I wish to see you always as the magacian of life.
I hope you never reveal your sources of magic
Because darling it is so wonderful how you make things each day.
Love, me
Dear Future,
I hope you show me all this world has to offer me.
I hope you shine and dance in radiant glory.
I hope you have smiles and frowns becuase life just happens like that.
I hope you help me learn all the answers to the questions my brain has asked.
I hope you lead me down roads that don't always have an outcome.
I hope you let me grow into someone I want to become.
I hope you open my heart each day to the possiblility of loving others more.
Love, me
