Dear Purple Flowers

Dear Purple Flowers,

Thank you,

For being my light at the end of the tunnel,

For providing me with your shaded petals.

For helping me make it through and finding the strength within you.

You have saved me from my darkest thoughts,

Provided me with the hope I longingly sought.

To me, you are more than just purple flowers.

You’re the beauty in a gloomy day that catches my eye as I drive away.

The one positive thing I look forward to when all else seems to fail.

You’re an inanimate object that makes me feel alive again.

The magic I seek in every person I meet.

For, if everyone held the power you do,

This world would bloom into something magical and new.

Where happiness is found in all corners,

And we all become hoarders,

Of all the little things that make us gleam.

For, all the little things wrapped into one truly make the greatest memories.

And you, my purple flowers, are my series of little things wrapped into one.

Reminding me every time I see you, there’s more to life that is to be won.

So, thank you purple flowers, for all that you do.

Yours Truly,

I love you.
